Sonix Pricing: Every Plan and Cap, as of July 2026
Sonix sells transcription by the hour. Every subscription tier bundles a fixed number of transcription hours plus a separate allowance of "AI workspace" hours, and extra seats are charged on top at the same rate on every plan. There is also a no-subscription pay-as-you-go rate. Here is the table as shown on Sonix's pricing page.

- AI workspace usage is a second, separate hour allowance on top of transcription hours
- The free trial is a one-off 30 minutes, not a tier you can keep using
- SOC 2, HIPAA and GDPR compliance and SSO/SAML are Enterprise-only, priced on request

Under an hour a month, Sonix's $10/hr pay-as-you-go beats a subscription from either of us. The part we cannot match at any price is Sonix's compliance shelf: SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA and GDPR with SSO/SAML on Enterprise. We hold none of those certifications and would rather say so than imply otherwise.
When Sonix is the better choice
- Procurement requires SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA or GDPR attestations and SSO/SAML
- You publish subtitled video and need frame-accurate burnt-in captions with translation
- You transcribe less than an hour a month and pay-as-you-go is genuinely cheaper
