ConvertAudioToText is an AI transcription application that converts audio and video recordings to written text. The service is operated by ReachUp LTD, a company registered in Kigali, Rwanda. ReachUp LTD is the data controller for the personal information collected through ConvertAudioToText.
Users upload audio or video files, paste a direct media URL, record audio in their browser, or (optionally) connect a calendar account so ConvertAudioToText can send a notetaker bot to upcoming meetings. ConvertAudioToText returns a transcript, an AI summary, speaker labels, timestamps, and standard subtitle exports.
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, upload files for transcription, or contact us for support. This may include your name, email address, and any audio/video files you upload. If you connect a calendar account, we receive calendar event metadata as described in section 6 below.
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process your transcriptions, send you technical notices and support messages, and respond to your comments and questions. All transcription is performed by automated AI technology with no human review of your content.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Dodo Payments collects and processes payment information directly. We do not store your credit card details or banking information. For more information on how Dodo Payments handles your data, please refer to Dodo Payments' privacy policy.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Calendar refresh tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored. Your audio/video files are automatically deleted after processing unless you choose to save them.
When you choose to connect your Google Calendar, ConvertAudioToText requests the following scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonly: read-only access to events on your calendars, so ConvertAudioToText can show your upcoming meetings and (with your per-meeting consent) send the notetaker bot to join them.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email: your primary Google account email address, used solely to label the connected calendar inside ConvertAudioToText.ConvertAudioToText only retrieves the calendar event fields needed to display upcoming meetings and dispatch the meeting bot (title, start/end time, attendees, meeting URL). Calendar event data is not displayed to any other user, is not used for advertising, is not sold or transferred to third parties, and is not used to train AI/ML models.
ConvertAudioToText's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from the Meetings page in your ConvertAudioToText dashboard. When you disconnect, ConvertAudioToText immediately revokes its access via Google and removes the encrypted refresh token from our systems. You can also revoke access at any time directly from your Google Account permissions page.
We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience on ConvertAudioToText.
We do not use advertising cookies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. By using ConvertAudioToText, you agree to the use of these technologies as described here.
We retain your transcriptions for as long as your account is active. You can delete your transcriptions at any time from your dashboard. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You can also export your data or request a copy of all information we hold about you.
