Why use Spotify Podcast Transcript Generator?
Just Paste the Link
Drop in a Spotify episode URL. We find the same episode in the show's public podcast feed and transcribe that audio: no downloads, no browser extension.
Speaker Labels
Hosts and guests are detected and labeled, so you can follow the conversation and pull accurate quotes. Rename a speaker once and every line updates.
AI Summary
Get an AI summary of the key points next to the transcript, ready for show notes.
Search, Copy, Export
Search every word. Copy the text or download TXT free; SRT, VTT, DOCX, PDF and JSON come with paid plans, the Weekly Pass or your first file.

How it works

Read, Search, Export
Read and search the transcript, copy the text, and download TXT or SRT when your plan includes files.
Spotify podcast transcripts: what you get and how
Spotify podcast transcript generator: paste a link
A Spotify episode link is all you need to start.
Open the episode in Spotify, choose Share, then Copy link. Paste that URL above and start the transcription. We look up the show's public podcast feed, find the same episode there, and transcribe that audio.
My take: the link-first route is the quickest one when you already have a Spotify episode open and need searchable text for notes, research or show preparation.
- Podcast episodes you want to search later
- Interviews you need to quote or review
- Lectures and webinars you want to turn into notes
- Episodes you use for content research
To remember: the show must publish a public podcast feed. Spotify-exclusive shows cannot be fetched from a link.
What each access level includes
| Access | Length | What you can do with the text |
|---|---|---|
| No account | First 30 minutes of an episode, up to 3 files a day | Read and search |
| Free account | Up to 30 files a day, up to 30 minutes each, on the premium engine; your first file up to an hour | Copy, TXT download and speaker labels, plus the AI summary and every format on the first file |
| Weekly Pass | 1,200 premium minutes for 7 days | Speaker labels, AI summary and every format |
| Paid plan | Full-length episodes | Speaker labels, AI summary and every format |
Spotify transcript generator versus typing it out
| ConvertAudioToText | Manual transcription | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Paste a public Spotify episode link | Listen and type from the beginning |
| Speaker labels | Automatic on the premium engine | Tagged by hand |
| Timestamps | Included | Added by hand when needed |
| Languages | 99 | Whatever the typist speaks |
| Free start | First 30 minutes, no account | Your own time |
To remember: automatic transcription still needs a review. Check names, technical terms and speaker changes before you quote an episode.
When a Spotify episode cannot be transcribed
The link route only works for episodes whose show has a public feed. Spotify-exclusive shows stream audio that we cannot open from a link, and you get a clear message instead of a transcript. Music tracks, albums and playlists are not podcasts, so they are refused as well.
Audio quality also matters. A noisy recording needs more editing than a clean studio episode, even on the premium engine.

It works for episodes whose show publishes a public podcast feed. A Spotify-exclusive show with no public feed cannot be fetched from a link, and the tool tells you so. If you have the audio file, upload it instead.

A free account transcribes up to 30 files a day, up to 30 minutes each, and its first file runs on the premium engine for up to an hour. Full-length episodes come with the Weekly Pass or a paid plan.
A free account can copy the text and download it as TXT. SRT, VTT, DOCX, PDF and JSON downloads come with a free account's first file, the Weekly Pass, a minutes top-up or a paid plan. Without an account you can read the transcript.

Yes. Every file on a paid plan or pass gets speaker labels, and a free account gets them on up to 2 hours a month. Each transcript shows whether it has speaker labels.
On the premium engine, accuracy reaches up to 99% on clean audio. Background noise, overlapping speech and accents lower accuracy on any engine, so check names and quotes against the episode.
No. Paste a link and transcribe the first 30 minutes without an account. A free account keeps your transcript history, transcribes files up to 30 minutes each, and runs your first file on the premium engine for up to an hour.
Spotify shows auto-generated transcripts for some episodes inside its app, synced to playback. This tool gives you the text itself, for any episode with a public feed: searchable, copyable and downloadable on eligible plans.
It works like one, but it does not copy the transcript Spotify shows in its app. It makes a new transcript from the episode's audio in the show's public feed, so it works whether or not Spotify shows a transcript for that episode, and you get text you can search, copy and download.
Yes. The spoken language is detected automatically, with 99 languages supported, and you can pick it yourself before you start. Translation of the finished transcript into 99+ languages comes with a new account's first file, the Weekly Pass, a credit pack or a paid plan.
