An Apple Podcasts episode link is all you need to start.
Open the episode in Apple Podcasts on iPhone, iPad or Mac, tap the three dots, choose Share Episode, then Copy Link. Paste that URL above. The link looks like podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/show-name/id123456789?i=1000123456789; the part after ?i= identifies the episode.
We use that ID to find the show's public RSS feed, pick the same episode, and transcribe the audio file the publisher hosts. On the premium engine the transcript also labels each speaker, which matters because most shows have two or more voices.
To remember: paste an episode link (with ?i= in it), not the show page. A show link has no single episode to transcribe.

When an Apple Podcasts episode cannot be transcribed
Subscriber-only episodes from Apple Podcasts Subscriptions are not in the public feed, so a link cannot open them. The same goes for a show whose feed has been removed. In both cases you get a clear message instead of a transcript, and you can upload the audio file if you have it.
Long episodes are cut at the free preview without an account. The transcript tells you where it stopped, and a free account or the Weekly Pass picks up the rest.
