Frequently asked questions
Yes. There is no signup, no card and no watermark, and generating speech does not use any transcription minutes from a ConvertAudioToText account.
English only for now. The voice reads English text in a single natural-sounding voice. Text in other languages will still be read, but with English pronunciation.
Not yet. The tool ships with one voice. If you need multiple voices or accents, tell us what you need and we will look at adding them.
Up to 2,000 characters per request, which is a little under two minutes of audio. For longer scripts, split the text and generate each part separately.
An MP3 file. It plays in every browser, phone and video editor, and it is small enough to email or upload directly.
Yes. The audio you generate is yours to use in videos, podcasts, courses and other projects. You are responsible for having the rights to the text you submit.
The speech engine occasionally reports that it is busy. The tool already retries automatically, so if you see an error message, wait a moment and press Generate Speech again.
