Medical Transcription: Turn Dictations and Recordings into Text
A fast AI draft of dictations, case discussions and medical lectures, for you to review and edit
No account? The first 30 minutes of any file are free. Create a free account for premium on your first file.
Upload a dictation, a case discussion or a medical lecture and get an AI transcript with timestamps. It is a draft: names, doses and terms must be checked by a qualified person before anything goes into a record. Add drug names and terms to your custom vocabulary so they come back spelled your way.
How clinicians and researchers use it
Custom vocabulary
Save drug names, procedures and acronyms in Settings. New transcriptions use the list to spell them the way you do.
Edit before you use it
Click any line to hear it, correct terms and doses, then export.
Word and PDF
Download a document you can paste into your own template or system, with or without timestamps.
Retention you control
On paid plans choose how long source audio is kept, from 7 days up. Delete a transcript whenever you want.
How it works
Upload or record
Upload a dictation file or record in the browser.
Review the draft
Check every name, drug, dose and number against the audio.
Export
Download Word, PDF or TXT and paste into your own documentation.
Medical transcription with AI: what it is good for
Good fits
- Grand rounds, CME talks and medical lectures you want to study from.
- Research interviews with patients or staff, under consent and ethics approval.
- Your own dictated drafts, letters and memos without patient identifiers.
- Team meetings and case discussions that have been de-identified.
Where you need a different service
Self-serve plans do not include a business associate agreement, a certified transcriptionist or a transcript that can go into the record without review. If you need any of those for patient data, this page is not the right fit, and we would rather say so plainly.
How your recordings are handled
- Files and transcripts are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
- Recordings are processed by automated systems only. No person listens to your files.
- On the free plan, source audio is deleted automatically, usually after 7 days. On paid plans you choose how long source audio is kept, from 7 days to a year, or with no time limit.
- Deleting a transcript moves it to the Trash for 30 days. Delete forever or Empty Trash removes it at once.

Frequently asked questions
Not under the self-serve plans: they do not come with a HIPAA business associate agreement (BAA), so do not upload protected health information under them. Use it for content without patient identifiers, such as lectures, research with consent and de-identified case discussions, or check with your compliance team first. Larger organizations can ask us about an enterprise plan.
Common terms are usually right; rare drug names, abbreviations and numbers are where errors happen. Add your terms to custom vocabulary and review every transcript. Automatic transcripts can miss words in noisy audio, crosstalk or unusual names, so read the transcript and fix what matters before you use it.
Only as a draft that a qualified person reviews and corrects. It is an AI transcript, not a certified medical transcription service, and it does not structure notes into a clinical format for you.
Files are encrypted in transit and at rest and are processed by automated systems only. On the free plan source audio is deleted automatically, usually after 7 days; on paid plans you set the retention. Deleted transcripts sit in the Trash for 30 days unless you delete them forever.
Yes. Record in the browser: 2 minutes without an account, or up to 30 minutes per recording with a free account. For longer dictations, record on your device and upload the file.
