Which kinds of Azerbaijani it covers

  • Azerbaijani as spoken in Azerbaijan
  • Baku speech
  • Regional accents across Azerbaijan

One Azerbaijani setting covers these speakers. The transcript is written in the Latin alphabet used in Azerbaijan today.

How Azerbaijani transcripts are written

Transcripts use the Azerbaijani Latin alphabet with ə, ı, ğ, ş, ç, ö and ü.

In our test on read news sentences, both the free and the account transcripts came back in Latin letters with ə, ş, ç and ğ in words such as mərasim and quraşdırıldı. Iranian Azerbaijani, which is usually written in Arabic script, was not part of our test.

FAQ

Is the transcript in Latin or Cyrillic letters?

Latin. In our test both the free preview and the signed-in transcript returned the Azerbaijani Latin alphabet with letters such as ə, ş and ğ.

Does it work for Azerbaijani spoken in Iran?

We have only tested speech from Azerbaijan. The transcript is written in the Latin alphabet, not the Arabic script often used in Iran.

Is there a sample transcript on this page?

Not yet. We only publish samples made from audio we can confirm is in the public domain. We tested this language with our own test recordings, on both the free preview and a signed-in account, before adding the page.

Is the Azerbaijani transcription free?

Yes. Azerbaijani files run on our premium engine with speaker labels, up to 2 hours a month on a free account. You can transcribe up to 30 Azerbaijani files a day, up to 30 minutes each, for free, and your first file can run up to an hour. Reading, copying, the full editor and TXT downloads stay free. Action items, email drafts, AI summaries and DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT and JSON downloads come with your first file, the Weekly Pass ($9.99 for 20 hours over 7 days) and paid plans.
