- Western, Central and Eastern Slovak accents
One Slovak setting covers these speakers. Slovak is a separate option from Czech.
How Slovak transcripts are written
Transcripts use Slovak spelling with á, ä, č, ď, é, í, ĺ, ľ, ň, ó, ô, ŕ, š, ť, ú, ý and ž.
In our test on read sentences, the transcript used Slovak spelling such as navštíviť and približne, and wrote a time as 12.00 GMT in digits. Capital letters on religious names were not always right.
What people transcribe in Slovak
Interviews and media
Slovak interviews come back with speaker labels and timestamps.
Meetings
Meetings become minutes with a summary in Slovak.
Lectures
Lectures become notes students can search.
Tip for Slovak recordings
Slovak and Czech sound close. Choose Slovak so the transcript keeps Slovak spelling, even when the speaker uses some Czech words.
Translate a Slovak transcript
Open a finished transcript in your dashboard, choose Translate and pick a target language from a list of 99+. You get the translated lines with their timestamps, and you can copy them or download TXT or SRT.
Translation needs an account. It is included on paid plans and the Weekly Pass, and with the first file on a free account.

Not when you choose Slovak. In our test the transcript used Slovak spelling.
Are Slovak letters like ľ and ô kept?
Yes. Transcripts use the Slovak alphabet.
Is there a sample transcript on this page?
Not yet. We only publish samples made from audio we can confirm is in the public domain. We tested this language with our own test recordings, on both the free preview and a signed-in account, before adding the page.

You can transcribe up to 30 Slovak files a day, up to 30 minutes each, for free, and your first file can run up to an hour. Reading, copying, the full editor and TXT downloads stay free.
