  • Kazakh speakers in China and Mongolia

One Kazakh setting covers these speakers. The transcript is written in Cyrillic, which most Kazakh text still uses.

How Kazakh transcripts are written

Transcripts are written in Kazakh Cyrillic with ә, ғ, қ, ң, ө, ұ, ү, һ and і.

In our test on read sentences, both the free preview and the signed-in transcript returned Kazakh Cyrillic with letters such as қ, ң and ұ. Kazakhstan is moving to a Latin alphabet; the transcript is not converted to it.
