How Catalan transcripts are written
Transcripts use standard Catalan spelling with à, è, é, í, ò, ó, ú, ç and apostrophes in elisions.
In our test on read sentences, the transcript kept accents and elisions such as l'Hospital and gimnàstica, and wrote English names as heard. Proper names of places abroad are the main thing to check.

Does it work for Valencian?
Yes. Choose Catalan. The same setting is used for Valencian and Balearic speakers.
Are accents and the middle dot kept?
Accents and elisions such as l'Hospital are kept. Check words with the middle dot (l·l) when you review.
Is there a sample transcript on this page?
Not yet. We only publish samples made from audio we can confirm is in the public domain. We tested this language with our own test recordings, on both the free preview and a signed-in account, before adding the page.
